OUR CONSULTANCY SERVICES: By attending one of our courses, or by joining us on one of our trainee crew cruises, you will be able to 'pick our brains' about the successful implementation of the on-board integrated boat systems. Not only is this information provided during our formal courses, but once your course has moved to the status of being a confirmed booking we will provide a question and answer service by email, even before you arrive on the course. If you are about to have a narrowboat built for you, or you are about to buy a second hand narrowboat - and you will be coming on a consultancy based course with us - please bear in mind the following. Issues discussed on our course are almost certainly going to effect your decision making processes when buying your new or second hand boat (even if this is only in terms of layout/equipment options). So if your course/cruise with us has moved to the confirmed status, please do refer things to us (by phone or email) before 'jumping in'. It could save you thousands of pounds (we know that sounds very dramatic but we do mean it, literally). But I am afraid we cannot enter into emailed consultancy advice unless you have already become a client by paying your booking deposit - we used to provide that free help but now find we just don't have the time. If you have already moved to paying client status, we will do our best to help with consultancy advice - even after your course has finished. So we can provide the consultancy service to help you set things up - and we will follow this up with ongoing advice as required. We have also been able to provide guidance for those who haven't yet bought their boat - to help them with the tactics of buying their dream. A good number of clients have actually purchased their boat directly under our guidance - saving themselves, literally, thousands. So, how much is this all going to cost you? - well we give the consultancy free when you come with us for a course or trainee cruise. The cost is less than you may think - when you consider the potential savings - from £160pp for a two day, full board, course during the winter stoppage season. Others have merely come with us for a short break - to help them decide whether or not a life afloat would suit their own particular circumstances - and, ok, pick our brains as well.
