The Audlem flight on
Telfords
Birmingham & liverpool Junction canal which is now
part of the
'Shroppie'. Telford used canal route engineering similar to
those
used on railways - straight lines, cutting through hills, and using
embankments to cross valleys (with locks grouped together in flights) -
as here at Audlem.
