The Forth and Clyde canal
was
constructed to accommodate sea going boats. So it has larger dimensions
than most of the English canals. The water supply from reservoirs and
rivers is therefore considerable (sometimes a bit too good).
In
parts it looks, pleasantly, more like a river - here east of
Auchinstarry.
